Aaliyah Davidson

Aaliyah Davidson is in her fourth year at Guelph-Humber and has been heavily involved in both the school’s softball program and the Athletics Department. Having been playing softball since she was 5 years old, Aaliyah has seen scores of successes on the field. Before attending college, Aaliyah was the national top batter of all softball players at the high school level in 2012. As a member of Humber’s softball team, she has gone to two national championships, is an OCAA Provincial Silver Medalist, and was an OCAA All-Star in her third year.

Aaliyah keeps herself busy off the baseball field as well. She has made Humber’s Honour Roll twice, and on top of her athletic and academic accomplishments, she also works various roles within the Athletics Department, from customer service to supervision to advising on proper athletic wear. Aaliyah’s primary passion outside of softball is early childhood education and working with children with special needs. She plans on coming back to Humber for another year to pursue an Ontario Graduate Certificate for Early Childhood Education—Special Needs, with the hope to work with children in either a daycare or a hospital after graduation.

Meaghan Murphy

Meaghan, one of the famous Murphy baseball/softball playing clan, has her two brothers playing for the Hawks men’s baseball team, while she is just completing her fourth year with the women’s softball team. She measures up to her brothers and then some, as she has recorded the best statistical numbers of her career. Her .364 average has helped propel her career average to .333, and 22 runs and 28 hits are tops for her in regular season play. She has solidified her spot in the middle of the lineup and is counted on in all situations, be it getting on base or knocking in a key run to win a game. Defensively, she is a slick fielding second baseman, with a strong arm. Her best attributes are two-fold, as her softball IQ is extremely high and her leadership is simply off the charts. Meaghan, a native of Brampton, has already graduated with a degree in Kinesiology and is now taking the Recreation & Leisure Program.

Alexis Ferreira

Alexis, a 2021 OCAA league all-star, is a fourth-year third baseman for Humber softball. She has helped the Hawks remain a top offensive program in the province, highlighted by her 14 career home runs. She helped lead the Hawks to an OCAA bronze medal while garnering all-tournament recognition for the second straight season. Alexis, a Mississauga native, is currently enrolled in the Psychology program at Humber.
